Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2, 2026

This policy explains what Straight Bettin LLC ("Straight Bettin," "we," "us"), a North Carolina limited liability company (NC Secretary of State ID 3027738), collects when you use straightbettin.com, the Straight Bettin mobile application, and related services (the "Service"), and what we do with it.

The short version

We collect your email address, basic usage data, and — if you start a free trial — a technical fingerprint of your device to stop trial abuse. We use Stripe for payments and never see your full card number. We don't sell your data. We send you email only if you ask us to.

The rest of this document is the detail.

1. What we collect

Information you give us

Information collected automatically

Device fingerprint — free trials only

If you start a free trial, we generate a device fingerprint: a technical identifier derived from characteristics of your browser and device, using the open-source FingerprintJS library.

We store this fingerprint only as a one-way cryptographic hash, alongside a hashed version of your IP address. We cannot reverse either back to the original value.

We use this for one purpose: enforcing our limit of one free trial per device. It is not used for advertising, cross-site tracking, profiling, or any other purpose, and it is not shared with anyone.

If you do not start a free trial, no device fingerprint is generated.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number, CVC, or expiration date.

We do store a record of your purchase: the Stripe session identifier, the amount, the date, your email address, and when your access expires.

2. What we don't collect

3. How we use it

We do not use your data to build advertising profiles, and we do not serve ads on the Service.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We have never sold it and have no plans to.

We share data with service providers who help operate the Service:

Provider Purpose What they receive Their policy
Clerk Authentication and account management Email, profile, session data clerk.com/legal/privacy
Stripe Payment processing Email, payment details, purchase records stripe.com/privacy

Railway Backend hosting and database Application data railway.com/legal/privacy
Vercel Site hosting and analytics Usage and technical data vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy

Each processes data under its own privacy policy and only as needed to provide its service.

We may also disclose information when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

If Straight Bettin is acquired or merged, account data may transfer as part of that transaction. We would notify you before your information became subject to a materially different policy.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use:

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels.

Managing cookies. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when one is set. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in, so most of the Service will stop working.

6. How long we keep it

Deleting your account removes your profile and authentication data. Purchase records are retained as described above, because we are required to keep them.

7. Your rights

You may:

To exercise any of these, email support@straightbettin.com. We'll respond within 30 days.

If you're in California, the CCPA gives you rights to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined, so there is nothing to opt out of — but the other rights apply and the email above is how to use them. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

If you're in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (account and access), legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, analytics), consent (newsletter), and legal obligation (financial records).

8. Security

We protect data using HTTPS in transit, encryption at rest via our hosting providers, one-way hashing of fingerprint and IP data, and access controls limiting who can reach production systems.

No system is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you share information with us at your own risk.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn we have, we'll delete it. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us.

10. International users

We operate from the United States, and your information is processed here. If you access the Service from elsewhere, you understand your data is transferred to and stored in the U.S., which may have different data protection laws than your country.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date, and where practical we'll notify account holders by email.
